spring cotton sweater
free pattern
This long-sleeved, light, spring, sweater is knitted in Rowan’s Cotton Cashmere, a versatile blend of 85% cotton and 15% cashmere and their oh-so-very soft 76% cotton, 15% yak and 9% nylon Softyak DK.
The gauge is worked out to accommodate the use of the two different yarns, which is what makes this simple design a little bit special. You may of course opt for using one yarn, in which case the switching of needles between colours will no longer be necessary.
The pattern is simple but thorough. Well suited for beginners if you stick to the recommended yarn. If you are inexperienced and plan on using other yarn, then you may get confused by the instructions and this pattern is perhaps not for you. The entire sweater is knit in stockinette with horizontal colour switching. The colour switching also involves the switching of needles if the recommended yarns are used.
This pattern is available for free and was sponsored by www.veritas.be, if you live in the BENELUX, France or Germany I recommend you check them out.
